Winner of 7 categories in Apocalypse jam 2023
My game was ranked "Best overall" in Apocalypse jam 2023 and won almost all categories that it was eligible for!
It's very personal to me so I'm happy that it resonated with others as well. It was also the first ranked game jam I participated in so it's very exciting getting such a warm reception"
One of the judges said
"Amazing game, given the amount of time it was nice to see such a developed game. The pixel art was incredible and suited the game immensely. Short and sweet."
The game ranked first in:
Submitter's Choice (top game overall)
Submitter's best use of chosen theme(s)
Best Overall
Best implementation of: Apocalypse
Best implementation of: Mono No Aware
As well as in the technical criteria:
Visuals / Graphics
Sound Design / Music
I managed to wrap it up quite well during the jam, the scope is very small after all, so at the moment there's no plans for future patches. It would probably be possible to flesh out the mechanics a lot more but I'm not sure if it feels necessary for this specific project. Regardless I'm very happy that a lot of people liked it and it will probably always have a special place in my heart.
I would also like to thank "Dolphinflavored" once more for the incredible sound & music!
