Ende Gelände - We shut shit down!

Ende Gelände is a climate movement that has been organizing mass civil disobedience actions against coal mines in Germany since 2015. Get past the police and force the coal mine to temporarily shut down production!

Drag and drop the rally flag of your activists to direct their movement and break through or slip past police lines in six different levels. This game was developed for the Climate Jam 2025 but I'd love to expand it with more levels and challenges in the future.

The yearly protest actions of Ende Gelände since 2015 have had between 3000-7000 participants. Here's a few videos if you want to see how they look. The climate crisis is here and we need to mobilize resistance in every way we can. Play the game, be inspired and then get out there and shut shit down for climate justice!

As a disclaimer - I have not personally been at an Ende Gelände action but they are a great inspiration to me and, I would think, the entire climate movement. I hope that this game in no way misrepresents the movement or those that have taken part in organizing or carrying out Ende Gelände actions. I believe that this kind of activism is necessary and gives hope when so much of the world is doubling down on capitalism and fascism. We can only turn the tide if we're prepared to resist for real.
